"Not really sure what
there is to tell," he begins. "My
parents died when I was just coming of age.
I led my family deep into the barrens and
stayed on the move, avoiding marauders where
we could. I had begun to follow the path of
the Druids and used what skills I could to
keep us alive."
"Then the horde came.
At first I saw them as a blessing. United
under a common flag against such foes as the
burning legion and the centaurs. The union
of the Tauren tribes and the Orc hordes brought
a level of peace to our continent never seen
before."
"Pazo, now old enough
to join the ranks as a warrior, had been sent
off to join some of the more advanced outrunners,
whereas Leza was left in the care of some
of the Thunderbluff families. And I, I was
given the tasks of using my druidic abilities
to aid the wounded and defend base camps that
had been prepared for the victims of our war
with the alliance."
"But then one day I was
given orders. The horde had located a camp
of what they believed to be Venture Company
mercenaries supplying weapons to the alliance
in horde territory. As I and a small handful
of fresh recruited warriors were the only
ones near enough to do something about it,
we were dispatched with the orders to kill
anything we found alive. This would be my
first and last genocide mission."
"What we found was not
a mercenary camp at all. It was a goblin refugee
camp. Populated primarily by women, children,
and the wounded who were attempting to flee
a general of the Horde who had a personal
vendetta against the bloodline of these particular
goblins."
"Afraid to confront a superior officer about a personal
matter, I opted rather to contact the druid
circle for advice. See if they would intervene
on the goblins' behalf. The day I received
their message to continue with the extermination
was the day I turned my back on the horde
and the druid circle."
"They claimed that the goblins were an abomination against
nature and should be dealt with in accordance
to the laws of cenarious."
"I was able to convince the young warriors with me to stand down and help me aid these goblins. Seven days later, the horde sent a much larger force of seasoned veterans after the encampment. I was the only survivor, and that only because I was fortunate enough to find some peacebloom and silverleaf to fashion some healing potions out of."
"I left the horde, left
the path of the druid, and came here, to open
my bar. When I finally found Pazo again, I
made sure to bring him with me. For rumor
had it that they used him to commit far worse
atrocities than the ones they had asked of
me. We are neutral here, neither with the
horde nor the alliance, and focus more on
the imbibement of alcohol and potions rather
than the raising of weapons and shields."
